A panel with ECG Summer Interns

The Ethics and the Common Good Project supported 18 summer interns this year, in collaboration with several other programs on campus. The students here today will give you a taste of some of this amazing work. Whether it’s in Amherst, Holyoke, Cuba, or Rwanda, these students have listened to the needs of different communities (whether low income youth, black activists, refugees, or across the African diaspora) and worked to respond with fearless imagination. Their responses are artistic and transformative, aimed to promote healing in world that works tirelessly to silence our pain. They are models of what it means to listen, to believe, and to create. Speakers include: Jamila Umi Jackson and Rikkia Pereira, Adisa Stewart, Toni Stone, and Aurelis Troncoso
