Rachel and Carrie present at the Art Library Society conference!

I was excited to share a presentation about the Museum Collections Management Commons project (MCMC) with Carrie Evans, the Metadata Specialist for the project at the Art Library Society of North America (ARLIS/NA) conference in Chicago yesterday.   The project team has been working to improve the Museum Collections portal shared by the Five College Museums and Galleries and Historic Deerfield and to prepare the data to migrate to a new system in the future.  To learn more about the project that was funded by a 2-year $800,000 planning grant from the Mellon Foundation, see the FAQ sheets here.   Or come to the final Summit on June 8 from 3-5 pm at Hampshire’s Red Barn to  learn more, socialize, and have fun.  Email us at  askharold@hampshire.edu for more information.
