Welcome to New Staff: Sam Sharp!

Sam Sharp joined us this October as our new Access Services Associate: Evening Supervisor. She is the contact person for course reserves, and she works on the library’s game collection! Sam is originally from Ranburne, AL, but she graduated this spring from Amherst College, where she studied classical voice and wrote impassioned papers on topics from spirit possession in The Tale of Genji to narratives of gender and revenge in country music. She got her first real taste of library work as a student employee in Amherst’s Robert Frost Library, where she worked for four years. When she isn’t in the library, Sam enjoys crafting, playing video games, and playing country songs on the ukulele, all while her cat tries very hard to interrupt.
