Hampshire’s Knowledge Commons Team
The library is thrilled to welcome and introduce our growing Knowledge Commons team. With funding from The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, the library has recruited and hired a team that will connect our campus to resources to support teaching and learning.
Student Success Alumni Fellow, Sasha Conley (She/Her/Hers, They/Them/Theirs), is working with the library and Aaron Ferguson in the Office of Accessibility Resources & Services (OARS) to connect students with staff and resources that can help them be as successful as possible at Hampshire. She’s thinking critically about accessibility and disability justice at Hampshire to work to make our college a more accessible and inclusive space. Sasha graduated this past May from Hampshire with a BA in Disability Studies, Art and Creative Writing. In addition to supporting students, Sasha enjoys strolling with fellow villagers through her town in Animal Crossing: New Leaf. Email Sasha at srcLO@hampshire.edu.
Library Research Alumni Fellow, Lauren Garretson (She/Her/Hers), is working with Critical Social Inquiry Librarian Alana Kumbier and will support student research by meeting with students, discussing research assignments, Div III projects, and other academic work. Lauren brings a talent and commitment to mentoring to her work, and has experience as a casual in the Career Options Resource Center, and as a student worker in the Library Advanced Media Labs. Instructional Technology Alumni Fellow, Alexis Reed (She/Her/Hers), is working with Asha Kinney to help teach EPortfolio templates and provide support for students who are creating EPortfolios in wordpress. She can also provide help with Moodle, I-Clickers, and Google Apps for Education, with a particular passion for Adobe Suite. graduated in 2015 from Hampshire with a BA in Film, the African Diaspora, and East Asian Language & Popular Culture. Center for Teaching and Learning Alumni Fellow, Abby Hanus (They/Them/Theirs), is working with the Center for Teaching and Learning Co-Directors Laura Wenk and Kristen Luschen alongside with Beth Lisi to help support faculty and staff professional development at Hampshire. Abby graduated with a BA in Education and Photography with a focus on community building and sustainability.
