“Get to Know Your Classroom Equipment”
Tuesday September 8th.
This is a time to come see or get a refresher on how the projector works and to make sure your computer will “play nicely” with our equipment. It’s much better to test ahead of time than to get stuck with a technical problem in front of a class full of students!
Please invite or bring your TA along.
All the classroom setups are status-quo from last year. No training required if you are already independently operating classroom equipment.
All sessions are Tuesday, September 8th and last about 30 minutes.
If you teach in:
- Franklin Patterson Hall : Come to FPH Room 108 at 1 p.m.
- Adele Simmons Hall : Come to Room 111 at 2 p.m.
- Emily Dickinson Hall : Come to Room 2 at 2 p.m.
- Cole Science Center : Come to Cole 333 at 1 p.m.
New Help Site
Please visit our new website at http://hamp.it/classrooms for information on which room has what equipment and how to use it, as well as troubleshooting tips and instructions on how to get help.
New Help Request Process
Starting this semester, the IT Help Desk will be working with the Media Services staff to provide classroom support. All classroom-related help calls should now go to the IT Help Desk instead of Media Services.
During business hours (8:30-4:30), you can call the Help Desk for immediate assistance: 413-559-5418.
To report a non-urgent classroom issue or request a training, please submit an IT Ticket on theHub. Students can now do this too!
Faculty in Cole and ASH can continue to contact their building staff directly, but are also welcome to put in a ticket for a non-urgent matter or call the Help Desk as a back-up option.
