Struggling with Procrastination? Schedule in the Play Time!
Perhaps you would do well by UNSCHEDULING your time. Rather than schedule in work and see if there is time left for play, try scheduling in your play time. You’ll soon see the unscheduled blocks of time you have for work – without feeling you are depriving yourself of fun.
If you follow the advice in this article on unscheduling, you’ll be able to have the guilt-free play time you have scheduled in. No surprises here, it does mean that play time can’t be all day; the unscheduled time is now for work in productive chunks. The really good news is that the work is done without feeling bad for wanting to play!
Submitting Your Div III to the Archives
Did you know that the Harold F. Johnson Library has an archive of Div IIIs stretching back to 1971? The Div III Archive includes works in print, on film, and in multiple electronic formats. To see what’s available, browse this list from the library catalog, or take a look at the online archive, which contains works from 2006 to the present.
So – as you finish your Div III, please consider adding your work to this collection! Your work will be preserved and accessible to current and future Hampshire students, and should you ever need a copy, you’ll always be able to request one from the library. Submission instructions can be found at https://www.hampshire.edu/library/the-div-iii-archive-submission-instructions.
As part of its new web archiving program, Archives and Special Collections is also collecting Div III blogs and websites! To submit your site for inclusion, complete a Web Archives Permission Form at http://hamp.it/webarchive. The capture process takes a snapshot of your site, which is then preserved, described, and made accessible in the Hampshire College Web Archives (https://archive-it.org/home/hampshire).
Feeling Stuck? Wanting to Try Working Differently?
Sometimes it is difficult to shift how you are working. You can feel stuck and need something to help you make a shift – perhaps in how wide your focus is, in how you are structuring your time, in who your audience is, in how you organize your ideas, etc. Making one shift can turn your work around. Read these tips and see if any of them help.
