Digital Humanities Student Workshop
Come for a workshop with Professor Sonya Donaldson
Friday, February 20th, 9:30am-12:00pm
This workshop for students will provide an introduction to digital humanities tools and discourses. Professor Donaldson will give an overview of the digital platform, Omeka, and discuss possibilities for working with other social media tools to represent student work. This workshop is appropriate for students interested in discussing digital humanities as praxis, for students with emerging knowledge of these discourses and tools, as well as students who are new to digital humanities tools and discourses. Using Styles in Word
You are likely in writing-like-crazy mode. Save yourself some time and help yourself stay organized by using “styles” in Word. These will help you with formatting, with navigation through your document, and with creating a table of contents! Watch this video to learn more!
Global Connections Event
Postponed to Monday February 16th 3:30 – 5:00
The Global Education Office’s second annual Global Connections event in the Prescott Tavern. This event brings returning study abroad students and international students together to share their intercultural personal experiences and perspectives. There will be a series of large and small group activities that encourage reflection, foster connections, and give attendees a space through which they can begin to translate what they have learned.
Finalist photographs from the 2014 GEO See(n) Photo Contest will also be on display. Light refreshments and snacks will be provided.
Division III final contract revisions are due on TheHub by February 2nd
If you are a Division III students filed for Spring 2015 completion, your Div III final contract revisions are due on TheHub by Monday, February 2nd. Be sure to be in touch with your committee for reviewing, giving feedback, and signing the revisions.

There is a deadline approaching for a great scholarship opportunity for Hampshire students at Vermont Law School.
Breaking news: A new program, Master of Food and Agriculture Law and Policy, has just been added at VLS!
And the Hampshire-VLS scholarship eligibility includes current graduating students and recent alums up to 10 years out.

Have you demonstrated a commitment to these issues through service? Are you considering a master’s degree or a law degree?
Apply for a full scholarship for a Master’s degree and/or a JD from Vermont Law School, which is consistently ranked as having the country’s top environmental law program. Deadline to submit a complete set of application materials to Hampshire is Wednesday, January 21, 2015, at 9 a.m.
Each year, Hampshire can recommend one student or recent alum (up to 10 years out) for one of the two scholarship opportunities:
- 3-year Full Scholarship for Juris Doctor (JD) program or Joint JD/Masters. The Masters can be in VLS’s Environmental Law and Policy (MELP), Farm and Agriculture Law and Policy, or Energy Regulation and Law (MERL)
- 1-year Full Scholarship for one of the following Master’s programs at VLS:
- Masters of Environmental Law and Policy (MELP) program
- Master’s of Farm and Agriculture Law and Policy (MFALP) program
- Masters of Energy Regulation and Law (MERL) program.

Progress Reports
Remember to do your Div III progress report by the end of the day Friday December 5th! Think about what your goals were for the semester, how you did relative to those goals, and what you need to do over January to stay on track or get on track!
Map Your Div III
There is a map of Division III’s posted on the window in the Div III showcase area in the library. The map has some key terms that identify some possible areas of interest. Feel free to write your name and contact information on the map and add/connect fields of study. This map might help you find others who share your interests.
