Celebrating the library’s student employees

Over the last handful of weeks until Hampshire’s commencement (!!!) we want to take a moment to celebrate our graduating student workers here at the library, starting with Amy!

Amy is from Newberg, OR, and the title of her div is “The Molecular Pathophysiology of Migraines: Pituitary Adenylate Cyclase-Activating Peptide and Mast Cells (P815).” Amy’s favorite place at Hampshire are the woods, and she loves going on walks to find spots she’s never seen before.

Amy’s favorite part of working in the library has been the moments when a patron brings up a large stack of books to check out—“It’s fun to see what kind of books people are reading/requesting, and reminds me how much I enjoy books and libraries.” Amy’s library tip to you is to not be afraid of requesting books through inter library loan! She says, “In a few days you could receive a book from across the country on just about anything, academic or otherwise.”

After graduation, Amy will be working for The Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard, working as a research assistant in their Genetic Pertubation Platform. Congratulations Amy, and thank you for all the work you’ve done for us over the years!!!
