Does your brain prefer to read paper or a screen?
A recent article in Scientific American posits that people often understand and remember text better when they read from a printed page than when they read from a screen. More and more, the reading we do is from our mobile devices, tablets, and laptops. What do your eyes and fingers prefer? Do you think you remember what you read better from one format than another? The Hampshire Library is soon to launch a new pilot e-book library with thousands of more e-books available to our patrons in the five colleges (stay tuned for more on that later!). Let us know your thoughts about whether your particular brain prefers to read paper or a screen.
