Library Services for the Fall

We’re Here to Help!

This will be a very unusual semester as we navigate the challenges wrought by the pandemic, but we want to assure you that the library staff will do all we can to continue to help with your research needs. Virtual help will be available for students, faculty, and staff, and there will be several options for contacting us (phone, email, and Zoom). In addition, we know that using the library’s physical books and journals will be difficult until things go back to normal. We plan to purchase ebooks that can be used by as many members of our community as possible. Please send any suggestions!

We will continue contactless pickup of requested materials. Pickup hours are Monday through Friday, 10-4 p.m. Hampshire students, faculty, and staff may place holds on titles via the Library Catalog. Patrons will be notified by email when their items are ready for pickup.

We ask that you call the InfoBar (413.559.5440) when you arrive at the Library to pick up your requested items. You may enter the library on the ground floor and take the stairs to the Library foyer, where we’ll place your bagged items on a cart. When you call the InfoBar, let us know if stairs are a problem, and we will be happy to bring your items to you.

Email library@hampshire.edu if you have any questions.
