Tech Tuesdays… New this semester in the Knowledge Commons Classroom!

I am looking for ways to contribute to the re-imagining of Hampshire College. I love to talk pedagogy and technology.

I have scheduled a combination of drop-in hours and topics for a new Tech Tuesday program in the Knowledge Commons. The drop-in hours from 10-noon and 1-2 will bookend a presentation/discussion of a few predetermined topics from noon-1 to get the program started and will rely on suggestions for new topics.

2/4    Grackle – Make Google Slides, Docs & Sheets accessible

2/11  Google Slides – closed captions, collaboration, interaction & infographics

2/18  Make digital scans and course materials accessible with Robobraille!

2/25  Close caption your videos with YouTube or Google Slides and Zoom!

Bring your lunch and let’s talk about and discuss technology, teaching, and learning. There will be chocolate. Check the Times Square digital signage in the library and other campus locations as well as on the morning announcements. Share this with colleagues!

I am also available by appointment to work with faculty, staff, and students on all aspects of technology for teaching and learning. This includes, but is not limited to accessibility, learner-centered and learner-directed pedagogy, interactivity, Moodle, Drupal, Google, instructional, and assistive technology.
