Update on LLC: Knowledge and Wellness Commons
In May 2015 the Library Learning Commons Service Strategy Report was finalized. In December 2015 the library received a generous grant from The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation for implementation of a Learning Commons 3.O.
Strategic Planning led the campus to identify the library and connecting Crown center athletic facilities as key for improving student, faculty and staff experience of Hampshire’s experiential curriculum. A Knowledge and Wellness Commons will be developed in the Harold F. Johnson Library and Robert Crown Center, reuniting these essential central resources to support the whole Hampshire student, together caring for mind and body
Architects Bruner Cott and consultants Brightpot are working with these groups to bring clarity to the wellness vision, so that fundraising can go forward for critical improvements to The Harold F. Johnson Library and The Robert Crown Center.
