Look out: Microsoft shifts Windows 10 to ‘Recommended’ update, automatic download

Check your Windows update options this week to avoid the “Recommended” Windows 10 update.

Go to Control Panel > Windows Updates > Change settings > Important Updates and uncheck the box for “Give me recommended updates the same way I receive important updates“:

You also may want to choose an option under Important Updates like “Download updates but let me choose whether to install them“:
