Keep an eye on your electricity usage and save money!
Hampshire College Library, in collaboration with the Environmental Committee, is pleased to announce that Kill-A-Watt meters are now available for checkout at the library.
A Kill-A-Watt meter measures the electricity used by electronic devices & appliances when they are plugged in. Plug the meter into an outlet and the appliance into the meter, then use the appliance as usual. Electricity used will be measured by the meter. The display will show consumption by Kilowatt-hour, with the option to see voltage, current and other information. Use the Kill-a-Watt meter at your home to find out how much money your appliances are costing you. Click here for instructions on how to use the monitor.
Ask to borrow a Kill-A-Watt meter at the library desk. Checkout period is three days and they can be renewed.
