Welcoming New Staff to the Library: Lorenzo Conte
We welcome our new Gallery Director, Lorenzo Conte! Previously, Lorenzo served as Exhibition Project Manager at the Art Institute of Chicago, where he led the development and production of numerous exhibitions, including projects such as Bisa Butler: Portraits, Salvador Dalí: The Image Disappears, and stanley brouwn.
Before this, he held various roles at the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago, most recently as Artistic Division Manager, overseeing operations for the Curatorial, Content Strategy, Learning, and Performance departments. Lorenzo holds a Bachelor of Arts in Visual Arts from the University of Chicago.
In his free time, Lorenzo enjoys container gardening, biking, cooking, and visiting museums! He also wants to prioritize highlighting work that reflects students’ interests in a relevant and accessible way.
