Thanks to everyone who came out for our showing last night of SEED: The Untold Story! If you want to take action on protecting seed diversity, here are some terrific ideas: https://www.seedthemovie.com/takeaction/.
If you missed our screening, it is about the severe but relatively-unknown crisis in seed diversity, its implications for the planet, and what people around the world are doing to try to solve the problem. The movie, which was executively produced by Marisa Tomei, features such well-known environmental activists as Jane Goodall, Vandana Shiva, Winona LaDuke, and Andrew Kimbrell. It also features Hampshire College alum Rowen White, Director of Sierrra Seeds.
To watch the movie or host a screening, see here.
Thank you for taking action to protect our precious natural heritage, the diversity and health of ourselves and the environment, and the livelihoods of small farmers around the world.
Thank you Mrs Reeve, I think that you are well aware that these are the direct results of human intervention. You said that “it is about the severe but relatively-unknown crisis in seed diversity, its implications for the planet, and what people around the world are doing to try to solve the problem”??? I see that we ourselves create these problems to finally look for solutions. The real path to the solution is that we must touch the causes and not the results!!
I agree that these problems are created by humans, and also by systems that are designed so that a few people can get very rich at the expense of human lives and the environment all around the planet. We do indeed have to look at the root causes of the problems to try to find solutions, not just at the surface. Have you watched the movie SEED:The Untold Story?
