This dense vlog (video blog) examines the argument made in Thunderf00t’s video, “The Real Threat of Islam” (see our evaluation here), which suggests that Islam in its current form is detrimental to civilization.  Ultimately, SkepticalEngineer states that even appropriately normalized, the conclusions reached through the statistics are legitimate.

Evaluation:

There is little here about Islam per se.  The representations of in SkepticalEngineer’s critique are within the bounds of what Muslims have historically understood as acceptable.  The distortions he points out in Thunderf00t’s video are almost all problematic.

SkepticalEngineer appropriately differentiates correct and incorrect constructions from the source video blog.  The original material on which Thunderf00t’s video was based has been widely publicized.

The historical interpretations are thoroughly backed up by carefully examined sources.
