Munir El-Kassem
In this recorded lecture, Munir El-Kassem presents signs of the End Times from the Qurʾān and discusses how in his opinion science agrees with the possibility of the signs.
Scientific topics addressed include the rotation of the Earth, meteor strikes of Earth, splitting of the moon, earthquakes, the chemical processes of the Sun, black holes, matter and anti-matter, expanding universe, and the Big Bang.
As given in the video (mins 2-4), Munir El-Kassem, was born in Lebanon and after attending medical school at the University of Beirut, he moved to Canada, where he received a Master’s degree from the University of Western Ontario and an advanced dental degree from the University of Toronto.
This undated lecture was part of the Nur-ul-Islam International Conference at the Nur-ul-Islam Academy of Cooper City Florida (USA).
Evaluation:
The presentation of ideas from the Qurʾān conform with those generally held by Muslims.
El-Kassem makes some accurate claims, but also references as fact many theories that have been disproven. These theories are used to provide evidence for the Qurʾān’s descriptions of the end of time.
El-Kassem’s description of the relationship between the Christian church and science is polemically overblown.
