Student Engagement Facilitator

6-10 hours/week

The Student Engagement Facilitator is passionate about co-creating supportive and sustaining spaces to practice new ways of being in community, in collaboration, and in changemaking together that reflect and embody ECG’s values. As the Student Engagement Facilitator, you will be working with ECG Staff to build community and facilitate collective learning in service of change. This can look like organizing, supporting and facilitating relational leadership programming, including workshops, regular community spaces, and events. Job responsibilities include supporting change on campus by exploring your own leadership and collaborating with ECG on your skills/passions to facilitate student spaces throughout the year. Your primary responsibilities for the fall 2018 semester will be collaborating with ECG staff facilitators to support our Visions & Practices for Creating Change Living & Learning Community (LLC), a group of first-year students interested in collaborative change-making and collective care.

Tasks:
– Support, coordinate, and facilitate workshops, regular community spaces, and events throughout the semester, according to your interests and community needs
– Work with ECG staff to plan and facilitate workshops and trainings for the LLC
– Support with coordination and logistics related to LLC
– Research and create supportive materials and resources for ECG around social change, activism, life skills, wellness, collaboration, facilitation, and community building
– Support ECG staff during scheduled programming on Tuesdays, from 3:30-5pm.
– Attend weekly staff meetings, programs, events, and other activities as needed
– Other tasks and duties as assigned

Qualifications:
– Interest in and commitment to ECG’s work and values
– Passionate about centering relationship building and creative collaboration at the heart of changemaking
– Experience organizing and facilitating community events, workshops and groups
– Strong communication skills, including storytelling and active listening
– Team player with dedication to collaboration and connection
– Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
– Ability to engage effectively in difficult conversations
– Comfortable facilitating group activities and discussions

Social Media & Communications Coordinator

6-10 hours/week

The Social Media & Communications Coordinator is passionate about our mission and ready to co-create web-based content to tell the story of ECG to our community and the wider world. As the Social Media & Communications Coordinator, you will help to generative digital engagement with our program and events. You will have creative independence to research and create content, while being able to incorporate feedback with agility. Job responsibilities include collaborating on a cohesive social media strategy in alignment with the program and college’s digital identity and values, implementing a monthly social media content and outreach plan, and other tasks per need and skills/passions. Beyond this, you will be a student ambassador of our program. Acknowledging that this can look a number of different ways, it will depend on how your studies and passions intersect with ECG’s current projects.

Tasks:
– Work with ECG Staff to continue the design and implementation of a cohesive social media strategy for ECG
– Manage ECG social media accounts including Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter
– Update ECG’s social media 2-3 times a week with cohesive, creative, appealing original and cross-posted content, including event creation & outreach
– Research and compile relevant digital content in collaboration with ECG Staff
– Support web and newsletter content and management with Wordpress and Mailchimp
– Attend ECG events/workshops and write engaging blog posts and social media content
– Support ECG staff during scheduled events and programming
– Attend weekly staff meetings, programs, events, and other activities as needed
– Other tasks and duties as assigned

Qualifications:
– Interest in and commitment to ECG’s work and values
– Excellent writer and/or storyteller
– Eye for detail and organization
– Strong online engagement skills; passionate about researching, reading, and listening to diverse content and media
– Team player with dedication to collaboration and connection
– Experience with social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter (and more!)
– Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
Wordpress design and maintenance skills a plus
Experience with photo and/or video a plus

Operations & Events Coordinator

6-10 hours/week

The Operations & Events Coordinator is passionate about our mission and ready to support the day to day operations of our program. As the Operations & Events Coordinator, you will bring critical thinking skills, attention to detail, and balance a self-directed and collaborative approach to the work. Job responsibilities include supporting office organization, communicating with community members and vendors, coordinating event support and outreach, maintaining confidentiality and discretion with sensitive data and documents, and other tasks per need and skills/passions. Beyond this, you will be a valuable member of our ECG team, and will be a student ambassador of our program. Acknowledging that this can look a number of different ways, it will depend on how your studies and passions intersect with ECG’s current projects.

Tasks:
– Assist with internal meetings, retreats, trainings, and workshops
– Assist with budget tracking and paperwork, including quarterly budgets, requisitions for purchase orders, and inter-departmental budget transfers
– Assist with coordinating and processing grants to students and faculty
– Manage office mail and assist with program email correspondence
– Create and update ECG web content on Drupal and Wordpress
– Coordinate printed materials with Duplications and flyer posters across campus
– Coordinate publicity for program and events, including Daily Digest and Public Calendar
– Coordinate event support, including booking spaces, set up/break down, and documentation
– Attend weekly staff meetings, programs, events, and other activities as needed
– Other tasks and duties as assigned

– Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
– Team player with dedication to collaboration and connection
– Experience using Hampshire systems, including Intranet, Daily Digest, and Duplications
– Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
