THE PROJECT
Fearing Brook Watershed is the major watershed draining the town of Amherst. The stream is highly urbanized and consists of both sections underground and above ground. Major urban impacts can be seen throughout the stream system.

RESEARCH QUESTIONS
Research centers around assessing the water quality in the brook and identifying restoration opportunities within the watershed to improve water quality. Fearing Brook is a tributary to the Fort River. Szal completed this work spring of 2016 and submitted the results to the Town of Amherst.
