Matthew Raymond | Building Energy Data Analyst

Building Energy Data Analyst, McKinstry (Hampshire Alum)

Hampshire alum Matthew Raymond

Matt is a Hampshire alum who studied Sustainable Building Science and Systems Analysis, a concentration that was forged through his investigation of the Kern Center and its systems. Matt’s research, centered on the Kern, examined the impacts of the indoor greywater wetlands on the HVAC. Following this passion in his Div III, Matt worked with the UMass Clean Energy Extension and applied the strategies exemplified by the Kern to help towns across Western Massachusetts reduce their energy use. Matt now works in Colorado as a building energy data analyst with McKinstry, a national leader in designing, constructing, operating and maintaining high-performing buildings. His work helps universities and hospitals in Colorado, Utah, and Arizona identify sustainable ways to reduce energy consumption and save money. In his free time, he is an avid rock climber and skier, passions cultivated through OPRA at Hampshire.
