Incentives for buying local

Text reads "Policy Changes for a Local Economy." above an image of a person with a comically large pair of scissors, cutting a comically large piece of paper titled "tax" right in half. A banner at the bottom of the image includes a simple shape of the R.W. Kern Center and reads: 100 Days of Building Solutions.

In some states such as New Jersey, tax breaks have been proposed for businesses the source their goods locally. These efforts come amidst the pandemic that has damaged state and national economies and caused hardship for gloabl supply chains. As we rebuild our economy, now is the best time to rethink our supply chains and adapt to be more sustainable.
