What is a visit like?

When you arrive at the Hampshire College campus, a research assistant will meet you in the parking lot to give you a parking pass and lead you into Adele Simmons Hall to our lab

This way to the Baby Lab!

We will start off in the family waiting room, to get settled and learn a little more about the study for the day.

Our basket of fruits and vegetables is always very popular as families get to know the researchers!

Once everything is ready, the researcher, parent, and baby move into the study room for the actual study, which lasts around 15 minutes.

Studies take the form of games and puppet shows

Siblings usually have a lot of fun playing in the family room with another member of our team during the study!

Siblings have fun with puzzles, games, coloring and more while waiting in the family room

When the study is finished, we head back into the family room, and babies and siblings get to pick a prize and certificate for helping!

Finally, a research assistant will walk with you back to your car, and you’ll be on your way!
