Jonathan A. Wright, an early graduate of Hampshire College, is the Founder and Senior Advisor of Wright Builders, Inc. and has been involved with sustainable building practices for over forty years. He values the opportunity to participate in the R. W, Kern center as a construction project, a milestone for the institution, and a game changer for the region and higher education as the privilege of a life time. His role in the project, and in the nearby Hitchcock Center for the Environment, involved planning, strategy, encouragement, and team building. Along the way, the Living Building Challenge has inspired his book Living Building Makers: Creating Buildings That Renew Our World, 2019. The Challenge is just that, and with it comes the knowledge to live and thrive in new ways.
