The Center for Design has fostered unbounded exploration in the MAKING realm since opening its doors in 1996– always as a campus wide transdisciplinary resource for all.  The Center for Design is a legacy program of the Jerome and Dorothy Lemelson Foundation which generously funded its inception and operation for many years, with a special focused in assistive technology and universal design for much of its history.
