{"id":4685,"date":"2018-02-09T14:58:02","date_gmt":"2018-02-09T19:58:02","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/sites.hampshire.edu\/theharold\/?p=4685"},"modified":"2018-02-09T14:58:02","modified_gmt":"2018-02-09T19:58:02","slug":"donacion-de-libros-de-la-fundacion-alejo-carpentier","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sites.hampshire.edu\/theharold\/2018\/02\/09\/donacion-de-libros-de-la-fundacion-alejo-carpentier\/","title":{"rendered":"Donaci\u00f3n de Libros de la Fundaci\u00f3n Alejo Carpentier"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/sites.hampshire.edu\/theharold\/?p=4674&amp;preview=true\">(For the English version of this text, click here.)<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Nos complacemos en anunciar que hemos recibido en la biblioteca de Hampshire College una generosa donaci\u00f3n de libros de parte de la Fundaci\u00f3n Alejo Carpentier en La Habana, Cuba, en colaboraci\u00f3n con la Oficina de Educaci\u00f3n Global (GEO).<\/p>\n<p>La nueva Colecci\u00f3n de Alejo Carpentier en la Biblioteca del Colegio Hampshire incluye algunas de las obras m\u00e1s famosas del autor, principalmente en el espa\u00f1ol original. Encontrar\u00e1 ficci\u00f3n hist\u00f3rica, como <i>El Reino de Este Mundo<\/i>, sobre la Revoluci\u00f3n Haitiana, y <i>El Arpa y la Sombra<\/i>, cual se lleva a cabo durante la llegada de Crist\u00f3bal Col\u00f3n en el Caribe.<\/p>\n<p>Tambi\u00e9n encontrar\u00e1s obras que no son ficci\u00f3n, como <i>La M\u00fasica en Cuba<\/i>, una obra de etnomusicolog\u00eda que pone \u00e9nfasis en las influencias africanas dentro de la m\u00fasica y la cultura cubana; o <i>Cr\u00f3nicas I\/II<\/i> y <i>Cr\u00f3nicas Caribe\u00f1as<\/i>, colecciones de cr\u00f3nicas publicadas en revistas caribe\u00f1as y europeas.<\/p>\n<p>La mayor\u00eda de los libros de esta colecci\u00f3n se pueden sacar prestado, pero algunos de los libros m\u00e1s fr\u00e1giles se colocar\u00e1n en las colecciones especiales. sin fines de lucro, creada en 1983 para promover y preservar el legado intelectual y literario del novelista, periodista y music\u00f3logo cubano Alejo Carpentier &#8230; La fundaci\u00f3n tiene dos lugares: la principal oficina en el Vedado, en la antigua casa de Alejo Carpentier y su esposa, dedicada a la investigaci\u00f3n, publicaci\u00f3n y preservaci\u00f3n de los documentos y el legado de
