This content both generates and embodies the scholarly and creative production of our students and faculty. Archives and special collections, student capstone projects, theses, Div IIIs, and digital humanities projects are some of the most prominent facets of this \u201cdigital ecosystem\u201d: unique and valuable resources awaiting use and reuse in the dynamic teaching and learning environment of the 21st century.<\/p>\n<p>Based on a common need for a robust infrastructure to manage this vital content, the three colleges are now working together to implement a shared digital library using the<a href=\"http:\/\/islandora.ca\/\" target=\"_blank\">Islandora<\/a> repository platform. The <b><a href=\"http:\/\/sites.hampshire.edu\/3cdl\/\" target=\"_blank\">3CDL Project<\/a><\/b> is currently in a preliminary \u201cphase one\u201d planning and discovery stage. Staff from the three schools have engaged local web consultants <a href=\"http:\/\/commonmedia.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Common Media<\/a> to help prepare a comprehensive project plan that will address technological, functional, resource, and administrative requirements necessary for implementation and ongoing success.<\/p>\n<p>This new blog will provide regular (hopefully bi-weekly) updates on our progress.
