The basement is filled with abandoned student spaces(spiritual life center), controls of heating and plumbing, and some trash. On the other side of the laundry area, there\u2019s a room with a dumpster in it, and possibly a chute connecting it to the building above, followed by the expected artwork. Basements aren\u2019t something you\u2019d immediately associate waste with, unless you\u2019re thinking of apartments and incinerators, so it was unique seeing that there. It\u2019s interesting though, why is it there and closed off, where here at Hampshire waste isn\u2019t something that\u2019s being kept away from us. It\u2019s in our bathrooms, common rooms, inside and outside academic buildings, dining commons, we\u2019re even exposed to composted material.
