Jade Sasser is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Gender and Sexuality Studies at the University of California, Riverside.

Jacqueline Patterson is the Director of the NAACP Environmental and Climate Justice Program and Co-Founder and Coordinator of Women of Color United.

In this series, guests exchange critical perspectives on reproductive, environmental and climate justice, today’s population control, the relationship between people and the environment.

PopDev and co-hosts convened the Old Maps, New Terrain: Rethinking population in an era of climate change meeting at Hampshire College in Amherst, Massachusetts, U.S from May 27-29, 2016. At the meeting, participants collectively examined population in the context of climate change, conflict and shifting geopolitics.
