Professor Uzma Aslam Khan’s latest novel, Thinner Than Skin, has been nominated for the 2014 DSC Prize for South Asian Literature.

Professor Baba Hillman’s Decroux’s Garden was selected for the 51st Ann Arbor Film Festival touring program of 16 mm films. It runs through February, screening in galleries, art-house theaters, universities, media art centers, and cinematheques throughout North America.

New World Records has released A Trumpet in the Morning, a recording of large-ensemble compositions by saxophonist/composer Marty Ehrlich, jazz and contemporary music professor at Hampshire.

Professor Abraham Ravett’s recent film, Notes for a Polish Jew, is part of the 16th RIDM (Rencontres Internationales du Documentaire de Montréal). Ravett also curated a film series for Historic Northampton featuring the work of Hampshire alums Erick Msumanje 09F, Joshua Weissbach 04F, Benjamin Balcom 04F, Masami Kawai 97F, and Brendan Toller 04F.
