Based on the short story by Franz Kafka, The Judgment delves into the mind of Georg Bendemann and explores the lines between delusion and reality.
Based on the short story by Franz Kafka, The Judgment delves into the mind of Georg Bendemann, a young merchant living in Prague during the 1910s. He lives a happy, bountiful life with the prospects of a bright and shining future. Or at least it seems so until we learn more about his hesitancy to write to old childhood friend, who is running a failing business in a foreign country, about his upcoming wedding. Although Georg sympathizes with his friend, he avoids contacting his friend and misinforms him about his own accomplishments, feeling that such interaction would make the friend feel even more homesick.
However, things take a very sudden turn when we meet Georg’s father and he questions Georg’s intentions and the reality of the friend.
