Abby Grace Drake 93F made the news recently when she published a paper in the journal Scientific Reports stating that domestication of dogs happened more recently in human history than previously thought.
1. Describe your Division III in ten words or less/or describe it in one sentence.
Learned how to digitize in 3D at the Smithsonian!
2. If you had to choose: Wolves or dogs?
Tigers!! Tigers are on the brink of extinction while wolves and dogs are doing just fine.
3. Three adjectives to describe your Hampshire experience?
Collaborative, Innovative, Fun.
4. What are three skills you learn through the divisional process at Hampshire?
Independence, Hard Work, Critical Thinking.
5. What was the last “A-ha!” moment you had?
Learning about a new handheld scanner that’s only $500. I’m taking my Evolution class to the American Museum of Natural History tomorrow to scan some of the dinosaurs on display. I dream of creating an online virtual museum so that anyone, anywhere can visit.
