A lunch and workshop with Nicole Garneau<\/h3>\n

The work of building a better world can be harsh and overwhelming – join artist Nicole Garneau for a meal and workshop focused on fortifying movements for social change and the people who make them happen.<\/p>\n

In this workshop, we will explore artist-initiated, non-religious sacred ceremonies that knit communities together and create activist spaces grounded in love. We will co-create a simple ritual that addresses the needs of the people in the room, helps us learn about ceremonial structures, and makes room to practice sacred consent.<\/p>\n

Nicole Garneau<\/strong> is an interdisciplinary artist making site-specific performance and project art that is directly political, critically conscious, and community building. Originally from Chicago, she has been semi-nomadic since 2012. Her new book Performing Revolutionary: Art, Action, Activism<\/em>\u00a0<\/a>invites artists, activists, and everyone else to learn about public actions and ceremonies for building the revolutionary skills we need now.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
