Serabella Jones (they/them): I am 18 years old and I currently attend Hampshire College as a Division I student. I plan on studying theater and the arts. I am a queer artist from Kodiak, Alaska, and I currently work in media and radio.
Del Rocheleau (they/them): Del is a 19-year-old from Kodiak, Alaska, and currently in their first year of college in Colorado. Del studies physiology and loves theater and the arts. They worked as a barista and at the local Safeway in Kodiak while finishing high school during the pandemic.
Reflection: This interview has taught me a lot about the importance of documenting people’s experiences. Overall the interview went very well. There was a problem with the video and audio at first, but I was able to resolve that. My subject seemed engaged and talkative during the interview which made it a delight to listen to. I never realized how complicated the interview process is with all its detail. This was definitely a useful skill for me to learn and I hope to do more interviewing in the future. This also required me to practice new social and organizational skills that I haven’t used since the pandemic started.
