My name is Asiato Tambadu (she/her). I am originally from the Bronx, New York (born and raised). I am an 18-year-old freshman at Hampshire College. I plan on studying nursing and/or psychology. My interests include giving advice to friends and trying different foods.
I interviewed Cherron Murray. She is a 41-year-old former teacher of mine at Bronx Career and College Preparatory High School (BCC Prep). She taught my Advising and College Readiness class.
Reflection: Overall, the interview with Cherron Murray went well. I asked questions that ranged from how quarantine affected Cherron’s relationship with her students to the adjustments she’s had to make as a teacher. I feel like I could have asked questions that went deeper and perhaps asked more questions, but I felt that we hit all the major talking points. One thing I learned about during the interview that related to me was that students were becoming much more lethargic because they didn’t have school routines like they did before schools shut down, causing them to perform much less well.
