Specifically, she explores the effects of urbanization on stream systems and conducts basic geomorphological research relating hydrologic stream characteristics with biotic integrity. She has recently developed a First-Year Integrated Sciences Program with colleague Sarah Hews and is currently working in a research group studying a new building on campus built to the <a href=\"http:\/\/living-future.org\/lbc\">Living Building Challenge<\/a>, the built environment\u2019s most rigorous performance standard. To conduct these interdisciplinary research projects she partners with local and state agencies, research institutions, non-profit organizations, and private consultants.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/section>\n<section id=\"builder-section-1466445435932\" class=\"builder-section builder-section-prev-text builder-section-text builder-section-next-text builder-text-columns-1\" style=\"\">\n<h3 class=\"builder-text-section-title\">\n\t\tElizabeth Conlisk\t<\/h3>\n<div class=\"builder-section-content\">\n<div class=\"builder-text-column builder-text-column-1\" id=\"builder-section-1466445435932-column-1\">\n<div class=\"builder-text-content\">\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.hampshire.edu\/faculty\/elizabeth-conlisk\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-27\" src=\"http:\/\/sites.hampshire.edu\/cmc\/files\/2015\/10\/Grid_conlisk-300x300.jpg\" alt=\"Elizabeth Conlisk\" width=\"200\" height=\"200\" srcset=\"https:\/\/sites.hampshire.edu\/cmc\/files\/2015\/10\/Grid_conlisk-300x300.jpg 300w, https:\/\/sites.hampshire.edu\/cmc\/files\/2015\/10\/Grid_conlisk-150x150.jpg 150w, https:\/\/sites.hampshire.edu\/cmc\/files\/2015\/10\/Grid_conlisk.jpg 640w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 200px) 100vw, 200px\" \/><\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/www.hampshire.edu\/faculty\/elizabeth-conlisk\">Elizabeth Conlisk<\/a>, professor of public health, has a wide range of public health experience at local, state, national, and international agencies, including the Instituto de Nutricion de Centro America y Panama in Guatemala, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the North Carolina Department of Health. Conlisk came to Hampshire in 2001 and teaches classes in the areas of public health, epidemiology, and statistics. Her research focuses on various topics in cancer prevention, especially cervical cancer screening and tobacco use. Her research interests include microbiology, molecular biology, microscopy, and biological illustration\/animation. Her interests span the areas of human and comparative physiology, neuroscience, endocrinology, herpetology, conservation biology, and behavioral biology. This involves building an intuitive understanding of the concepts and computational tools necessary to tackle complex, real world problems.
