Maybe something A-Life-y?<\/p>\n<h2>Tom&#8217;s Benchmark Problems<\/h2>\n<p>Should we include problems beyond iJava and Yuriy&#8217;s paper?<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>We should have a citable source outside our work for the problem &#8212; i.e. not &#8220;we made it up&#8221;. Otherwise, probably &#8220;yes&#8221;.\n<ul>\n<li>FizzBuzz (kata) &#8211; yes<\/li>\n<li>Bowling (kata) &#8211; maybe<\/li>\n<li>Factorial &#8211; maybe (too easy?)<\/li>\n<li>WC &#8211; yes<\/li>\n<li>US Change &#8211; maybe (need citable source)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Tom will consult rest of committee.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Pollen Tubes<\/h2>\n<p>Wren is going to try some things and consult others to try to see if a solution already exists.<\/p>\n<h2>Homology of Population<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Levenshtein distance of pairs of programs seems like good measurement.<\/li>\n<li>Likely can&#8217;t test all pairs, since this will usually be about 1 million Levenshtein distance computations.
