It is a 30-ft high dam originally constructed to supply water for the town of Northampton, MA. Due to failing infrastructure and for ecological restoration reasons, this dam was removed in the spring\/summer of 2018.<\/p>\n<p><strong>FACULTY AND STUDENTS<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Chris Cianfrani, <em>Assoc. Prof. of Math<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>RESEARCH QUESTIONS<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Faculty and students will be assessing the stream system up stream and downstream for the impacts the dam removal will have on geomorphology and habitat within the system.
